Jussi Parikka
Bio
"Dr Jussi Parikka is Reader in Media & Design at the Winchester School of Art (University of Southampton). He is also Adjunct Professor of Digital Culture Theory at the University of Turku, Finland. Parikka's research interests have touched on networks, viruses and accidents (Digital Contagions and The Spam Book); on the crosswirings of biology, technology and (bio)politics (Insect Media) as well as for instance media archaeology (Media Archaeology, Media Archaeology and Digital Culture). In addition, he has written about and engaged in research projects on network politics, media arts and new media theory.
